EastEnders Cliff Parisi gave fans a treat with his Minty comeback, but do not expect to see him hanging around Albert Square again. Keep scrolling to know more.
EastEnders Legend Says His Brief Return Was a One-Off
When Cliff popped up for the soap’s 40th anniversary, viewers were thrilled. Seeing Minty and Garry back together for Billy’s stag do brought pure nostalgia. But that quick trip down memory lane might have been the last.
“I do not know about going back to Walford,” Cliff said. “I doubt it.”
He is not being mean, but just honest. He says he likes to move forward. Even if the next job does not top the soap, he would rather try something fresh.
Still, being back stirred some feelings. “It was great,” he said. “Just a bit surreal.” Like walking into your house and realising everything’s been moved around. You walk in and go, Where is my bed?”
Cliff first left the soap back in 2010 after nearly ten years. There had been changes behind the scenes, and several long-timers were shown the door.
Life After The Square Has Had Highs And Lows
Cliff did not disappear after EastEnders. He appeared in Hollyoaks for a short guest spot, then landed a regular role on Call the Midwife as Fred Buckle, a role he continues to play.
But off-screen, things got bumpy. His company, Pleasant Productions, was shut down. It owed over 119 thousand pounds. Most of the assets were already spoken for. It was not the first time Cliff had faced financial trouble. Furthermore, the actor also runs a skincare brand for men called Manley and Moosh.
