Soap Schedule Shake-Up Details Revealed
Viewers are already struggling to wrap their heads around the continuous schedule changes due to Euro 2024 TV coverage. As per reports, EastEnders didn’t hit our screens last night due to a football match.
There have been several changes this week, and viewers are furious with the soap bosses. The longest-running show airs on BBC One from Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm. But this week is going to be a tricky one when it comes to the show’s schedule.
Taking to X, EastEnders has revealed the timetable, and it includes one day when the show will not air. On July 8th (Monday), viewers were able to see Walford drama at the regular time of 7:30pm but on BBC Two instead. As mentioned above, there was no episode on Tuesday as the slot was filled by Match of The Day.
Moving forward on July 10th (Wednesday)i.e, today, the show will return to its usual time & place being aired at 7:30pm on BBC One. As for Thursday, the soap will cover the Tuesday episode on this day. Fans can catch the double drama with two episodes on show’s flagship channel at 8:15pm and 8:45pm, respectively.

With so many changes in context, fans of the popular soap expressed their frustration on X (Twitter). One viewer exclaimed, “I have given up trying to record or watch because I never know what’s going on anymore! I can’t even remember where I was up to to try and catch up anywhere. You’re losing viewers.” Another voiced their annoyance about airing the show on BBC3 without any warning.
Such disruptions have become a regular thing for the BBC1 soap, viewers also saw issues at the end of June when all episodes aired on BBC Two.
