EastEnders viewers have spotted an unusual error in the storyline, which is causing quite a stir. The BBC soap fans are known for catching continuity errors and are not shocked over a major blunder amid Ben Mitchell’s return rumours.
Ben Mitchell actor Max Bowden left the soap six months after his character was imprisoned for credit card fraud in the United States. Fans of the hit show were furious by Ben’s departure as they think that the character has been forgotten ever since he was jailed overseas.
Huge Storyline Blunder Spotted In Ben Mitchell’s Departure!
Long-time viewers know that Ben went to America to get help for Lola Pearce, who was dying, and he wanted her to get onto a drug trial. However, we all witnessed Ben’s credit cards being blocked, and in an attempt to do things, he stole someone else’s card. He then spent a huge amount on hotel bills, a car rental, and even a business-class flight while returning home.
However, the rumour mill about Ben’s return has been swirling once again after he was mentioned several times recently on the show. The spoilers reveal that Kathy Beale made a comeback with heartbreaking updates about Ben.
She also reached out to Phil and half-brother Ian Beale to seek help for her son, who is not in good condition. However, fans were left confused after they found a big storyline loophole in the technicalities surrounding the initial crime that led to his exit.
Regular viewers are under the assumption that Phil has not been able to visit the US because of his involvement in criminal dealings and prison visits. This led to fans wondering how Ben was able to travel to America with all his earlier crimes. A fellow fan took the query to Reddit and wrote, “If Phil can’t go and visit Ben in America because of his criminal record, how did actual murderer Ben manage it?”
