Recently, Elaine has been supporting her family through trauma. The businesswoman has been a vital support for her daughter, Linda Carter and grandson Johnny.
It was after Johnny’s sexual assault by Tim Walton. Johnny recently broke down and confessed the truth to Elaine. However, Elaine had a difficult task of informing Linda.
There are also problems between the mother and daughter as they are unsure how to handle the situation. Also, Elaine urged Linda and Johnny to prioritise Johnny’s recovery. Outside of this, we all know about her fierce rivalry with Ian Beale. They are both fighting for the vacant seat on the Walford council. And so the enemies asked Oscar Branning for help with the campaigns. But soon they realised that Oscar was playing them both.
Elaine also recently opened a boutique hotel called Peacock Palace. However, she used dirty tactics to promote it. It includes badmouthing Kathy’s cafe. She was also arrested briefly for child cruelty after confronting Louie Beale. And now fans think that her nasty behaviour could mean an exit for the character.

“I dont understand why there is so much anger towards Max at all. The guy is only a paying guest, ” remarked one individual. A user commented, She has always acted as if she were on a stage, which is good in theatre but looks weird in a soap.
“I hope she steps back for a while because she’s in nearly every episode and it’s getting too much now, said another.” Someone else wrote, “I think she’s a brilliant actress, but the writing makes her look harsher than she needs to be.”
