Since the unfortunate incident in early February, Nigel’s tale is that of a struggle. He had dozed off in the tub. And his face was submerged in water. Fortunately, Phil and Mark came just in time to save him. After several medical examinations, the doctors said that he could no longer live independently.
There was even a time when he confused Lexi with Clare. Moreover, one time the old man became so disoriented that he behaved aggressively, and Julie got bruised. Nevertheless, one big surprise is still waiting. As we have heard, Grant Mitchell is going to be back on the soap soon.
And this time, his return is tied to supporting his old mate through this next step. In fact, it looks like Nigel is near his end. Even the show producers gave a hint that the arc will run deep into 2026. And this will eventually lead to the character’s permanent exit. One of the reasons is that Nigel’s dementia is in advance stage.
