EastEnders legend Lorraine, who played Karen from 2017-2024, has revealed her reason for not returning despite struggling to find new jobs. The famous star spoke to The Sun about her plans and said, “At the moment, I wouldn’t go back. I’m happy doing what I’m doing. They’ve left the door open, so never say never. I made that special appearance, and it was nice to see everyone and be a part of the family again.”
While discussing if she’d like to be a recurring character like Patsy, she was quick to mention that she loved working with Palmer and would love to do that again. She also expressed that she doesn’t plan on doing soaps anymore. Lorraine said, ‘Once you’ve done a soap, you’ve done a soap.’ Stanley also highlighted that getting work after the soap has been difficult and how being a mother takes a lot of her time right now.
