EastEnders legendary character Bianca Jackson has made her way back to Walford a few weeks ago and is involved in a big storyline. And now the actress who portrays Bianca, Patsy Palmer, has opened up about the return of another BBC soap icon, Michael French, who plays the role of Bianca’s on-screen father, David Wicks. David Wicks Is Back, Bianca Can’t Be More Grateful
In the forthcoming week, David Wicks will make his much-anticipated return as Michael French returns to EastEnders after a decade. Now that David is here and is all set to reunite with his long lost daughter Bianca who is determined to help her sister, Sonia. Viewers know that the Walford nurse is behind bars for a crime she didn’t commit. Reiss Colwell smothered his comatose wife due to financial issues and let Sonia take the fall for his deeds.
We know that the father and daughter didn’t exactly have an understanding relationship so David’s return is obviously going to leave Bianca stunned. The duo has been estranged for most of their lives. While speaking about this explosive reunion, actress Patsy Palmer said, “I really love that EastEnders is exploring a father-and-daughter relationship like this, and it’s an amazing chance to see how a woman in her 40s and a man in his 60s navigate the situation they are in.”

With the BBC soap approaching its 40th anniversary, the soap bosses had planned to bring in the nostalgic factor by bringing several old characters back. We recently saw Chrissie Watts and Jake Moon swiftly making their way back to Albert Square. The soap star also praised executive producer Chris Clenshaw for being able to pull this off. She added, “I am so grateful I’ve been able to come back and be a part of that.”
Palmer is also happy and grateful about Michael’s return and highlighted that the duo brings out the best in each other. ‘It was a dream to work with him again. I love Michael, and I love David Wicks. Plus, Bianca and David have a new dynamic in their relationship this time around,’ she exclaimed.
