Ricky Champ, best known for his role as Stuart Highway on EastEnders, has left fans worried after announcing his decision to leave the social media platform X. The star was sincerely active on the platform, which is why the fans were shocked to see him departing. For the unversed, Champ used to regularly share updates about his career as well as personal life on social media.
He gave advance notice of his departure where he said, Hey guys… I’m deleting this account and coming off X. “You can still follow me on Instagram if you wish. Big love!” After reading this, fans rushed to the comments and offered the soap legend some support. One of them wrote, ‘Will miss you, fella.’ While another mentioned that they will see him on Instagram. He hasn’t posted anything on IG as well since deleting X.
Long-time viewers know that Champ left Walford after his on-screen wife, Tanya Franks, who portrayed Rainie, made a comeback for his final scenes in 2022. Towards the end, Stuart struggled with postnatal depression after the birth of his son, Roland. Furthermore, Stuart and Rainie got back together following a difficult period in their marriage and made a decision to solve it afresh outside of Walford.

While speaking to Digital Spy about his exit, Champ said, “In EastEnders, I went from villain to hero to dad. It was amazing, doing that for five years with a character’s arc. It felt weird leaving him.” However, the character has never ruled out a potential return someday. Viewers know that Stuart just rode off into the sunset with his wife and kid, so we might actually see him in Walford again in the future.
