Samantha Womack, known for her role as Ronnie Mitchell on EastEnders, has some thrilling news for her fans. The actress seems to be going places – now that she has signed up for the second series of a hit crime drama.
It looks like the show Marlow Murder Club is all set to be back to even more gripping than the first as a string of new faces join. Furthermore, this time soap legends will be taking over, read on to find out more!
Earlier this year, fans showered a lot of love to the hit crime series, The Marlow Murder Club. EastEnders actress Samantha Womack, who became a household name as Ronnie Mitchell, will be joining the cast with other big stars. According to reports, she will be taking over the role of Caroline Wingrove, with Shetland’s Patrick Robinson starring as her on-screen husband.
Along with Patrick and Samantha, other new additions joining the series include Caroline Langrishe, James Wilby, Hugh Quarshie, Elizabeth Bennett, Camilla Beeput and James Gaddas. Furthermore, Natalie Dew will also be reprising her role in the crime drama as DCI Tanika Malik. A synopsis for the upcoming series teases there’s trouble ahead as show characters Judith, Becks and Suzie are back on the case.

As for Womack’s stint on the BBC Soap, long-time viewers know that her character, Ronnie, was killed off from the show in 2017 in terrifying New Year’s Day scenes. We know Ronnie and her sibling Roxy drowned after going into the swimming pool during Ronnie’s wedding reception to Jack Branning.
Ronnie was a fan-favourite character who keeps posting about her time on the show on Instagram and her comment section is filled with fans asking her to make a comeback but will she?
