EastEnders Anita Dobson Makes A Shocking Revelation
EastEnders’ iconic actress Anita Dobson was recently seen reprising her role of Angie Watts. She came back to the soap for a cameo role. Angie was seen giving advice to her daughter Sharon in her dreams. Sharon was stuck in the explosion that happened at the Queen Vic, and she was fighting for her life. When the poor daughter started to lose hope, her mother came into her dreams to give her some strength to fight a little more.
Speaking with Radio Times Magazine, Anita Dobson made a revelation. She said, there was a specific 40th anniversary scene where the audience would have heard Angie’s voice. But later it was removed, as she wanted to keep her return as a surprise element. She said, ‘There was going to be a little scene before you saw her when you heard Angie’s voice reading a letter to Sharon.” Dobson further added that she thought if it happens, then it will be obvious that Angie is coming back.
“So, I said, ‘Can’t it just be one scene?’ and then it’s a lovely surprise,” Anita added. She further added, “They said, ‘OK, we’ll go with that, so that’s what we did – and it was lovely and surprising.” While it was lovely to see her comeback for just a scene, we hope to see her comeback on the soap someday again. Anita is currently playing the role of Mrs Flood in Doctor Who. For more such EastEnders spoilers and updates, keep reading Soap Opera Daily.
