EastEnders actress Michelle Ryan is very well known for playing the character of Zoe Slater on the BBC’s soap. She has been missing from the soap for more than two decades now. But it seems that it is soon going to get changed. According to The Sun, the makers have approached Michelle to come back as Zoe, and it is said that she is all set to return very soon. An official source said, “Bosses have repeatedly reached out to Michelle over the years, but the timing has never been quite right.”
“People are still talking about her character, so it’s a real coup to bring her back,” the source further added. Furthermore, as per the source, there is an exciting script for Zoe’s comeback. When Digital Spy reached out to the team, they denied offering any comment on the reports. Earlier, actress Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Slater, shared that she really wants Zoe back on the soap. She shared her wish while she appeared on Lacey Turner’s podcast, We Start Here, earlier this year.
Actress Jessie Wallace said, ‘I’d love it if she came back.’
When Lacey said, “You’ve had some really iconic storylines,” Wallace replied, “The Kat and Zoe one… I’d love it if she came back. Would you?” Jessie replied to it by saying, ‘It’d be great,’ and further added, ‘Can we make that happen? Wouldn’t it be great?”
Earlier in an Instagram post in which she was seen with Kasey Ainsworth, who plays Little Mo, the actress said she will “never say never” to coming back to the soap.
