EastEnders star Lucy Benjamin has expressed her deep admiration for co-star Elaine Lordan. The actress who played the role of Lisa Fowler, recently shared a post on social media where she was seen showering love on the Lynne Hobbs actress.
Lucy’s post has sent the rumour mill into a spin and fans are wondering if we will get to see a double return on the show soon. The 54-year-old Lisa Fowler actress took to Instagram and posted an iconic picture of herself and Elaine Lordan. The duo is smiling ear to ear and seem really excited about their sweet reunion. She wrote, ‘Oh I love this woman with all my heart!’ Along with the EastEnders hashtag has led to fans wondering if the pair will come to our small screens.
A flurry of their former co-stars reacted to the sweet selfie and sparked rumours of a double return ahead of the soap’s 40th anniversary. One of the fans wrote, Oh this brings me so much joy!! It’s so lovely to see her looking so well. This is amazing xxx.’ While another added, ‘Aaaaah come back Lynne Slater!! That would be amazing! As for their stint on EastEnders, Lisa was last seen on screen a year ago, making a handful of reappearances since her arrival in 1998. She returned for a brief stint last year to extort money from Keanu Taylor. However, things didn’t work out for her, so she left Walford and fled back to Portugal.
On the other hand, Lynne hasn’t been on the show since 2004, first arriving with the Slaters in 2000. Viewers have wished to see her again and this social media reunion seems like just what the doctor ordered. We would love to see Lisa and Lynne coming to Walford and creating more drama.
