EastEnders viewers are watching Ross and Harvey take over Martin Fowler’s old shed. The pair is planning to build a man cave where the local men can finally talk and support each other. However, they first have to persuade a reluctant Jean Slater to hand over the keys. Keep scrolling to learn more.
Martin’s Legacy Is In The Balance
A new project involving a piece of Martin’s legacy is causing tension in Walford. We know that the vacuum left by the Walford stalwart has affected everyone from Sonia and Bex to Sharon. Sharon even headed to Australia to support a grieving Michelle Fowler.
Now, many residents gathered at Harry’s Barn to celebrate his life. However, Ross Marshall and Harvey Monroe have sparked a debate by proposing to transform the structure into a dedicated man cave. They intended it as a safe space for the men of the Square to talk.
But not everyone has liked this plan. Some feel that repurposing the shed so soon is disrespectful to the late market trader’s memory. Even Zack Hudson was initially hesitant about the idea.
However, he had a conversation with Barney Mitchell, which altered his view entirely. It was at that point that Zack figured the happy-go-lucky dad would most probably be in favour of a facility meant for friendship and mutual help.
EastEnders: There Are Tensions Over The Renovation
The road to create this new sanctuary is proving to be anything but smooth. However, Zack has now decided to convince Jean Slater himself. He wants to show that the project was a worthy tribute. Also, he trying to put his full effort into winning her over. Unfortunately, their mission almost failed. Jean caught Ross and Harvey trying to swipe the key behind her back.
Also, the process is forcing the group to face its own buried emotions. Even Ross suggests that the “man cave” might be fulfilling its purpose sooner than expected. Elsewhere James Bye, who played Martin thanked the BBC and the fans for their support throughout.
Meanwhile, will this new man cave cause a permanent rift with Jean Slater? Or will it become a fitting tribute to the market trader? Let us know in the comments section. For more EastEnders spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
