Lexi Reads Jay’s Letter And Learns About His New Life
Lexi was having a hard time comprehending so much going on around her. The girl has been coming to terms with Ben’s prison and the separation of Ben and Callum. Besides that, she is troubled about Phil because Nigel seems to be suffering from dementia. All the while, Jay has not been to the Square since last August and the show has been providing minor updates to account for his absence.
Earlier, Lauren said that grandpa got sick, and he was looking after him. They shared that the dude was with his new girl for the holidays. Now, in the recent episode, Lexi was crying and holding a letter. The letter had come from Jay. And she was still holding it while Callum and Billy got ready to take her to see Nigel in the hospital.
When Callum asked her what was wrong, she ran away. The envelope also had a baby scan picture inside. Jay wrote that he was now engaged to his girlfriend. They were also expecting a baby. He told Lexi that she would be a big sister. And he also invited her to visit them. Lexi said she wanted to go. However, she looked upset from the changes she faced over the years.
Callum And Billy Try To Help Lexi Understand The Changes In EastEnders
Opening to Callum and Billy, the young girl said she wished everything could go back to how it used to be. She also spoke about wanting her mum and Jay together. To make it even more complicated, she even wanted things to be the same with Callum and Ben.
Considering her feelings, Callum told her that it was normal to feel sad. Also, he didn’t force her to accept anything quickly. Stepping in, even Billy reassured her that she wasn’t alone. Slowly, Lexi began to calm down. Later, she was finally ready to go to the hospital to see Nigel.
