They were forced to leave the country because Joel had previously upskirted a teenager in his class. His father paid the girl’s family a large sum of money to keep the matter quiet. But Joel thinks he is unaccountable for his actions.
He also manipulates Tommy Moon. Joel shows his harmful online videos from sexist influencers. He spreads toxic views about women. He even insulted his mother. And he calls her degrading names and blames her for his childhood. He also impregnated Avani Nandra-Hart. Vicki Fowler soon learnt about Joel’s misdeeds.
Joel’s actions have already crossed lines. The moment he secretly filmed an intimate moment of Avani Nandra-Hart without consent, his decision to share it has left fans enraged. But this is not it. The real shock came when Ross made a chilling discovery. Joel’s laptop contained explicit footage and upskirting images. Ross was shocked by this, and for any parent, it was the worst nightmare.
Instead of apologising, Joel’s reaction stunned viewers. He dismissed the discovery. He claimed he had done far worse things. At that moment, everybody realised how sick Joel had become. Ross smashed his laptop in anger, but it was too late. Joel’s true self was already out, and Vicki is also aware of his mindset now.
Julie Bates Steps In To Help Joel
Vicki realises she needs somebody’s help to bring Joel under control again. She seeks Julie Bates’ help, thinking her experience could be of any use. Julie makes him sit down and brings up the comments he has been using. She also reflects on his behaviour online and in person. However, Joel shrugs it off. But Julie is not ready to give up.
Julie wants to make Joel see the bigger picture. And not just hear it as a lecture. Julie’s tone was quite different from Vicki’s. However, we have to wait to see if Joel listens to her or not. After Julie leaves, Joel threatens Vicki.
He asks her not to interfere in his life again. Later, when Ross and Vicki try to sort these things out with him, he strikes at Vicki, leaving all shocked.
