In a candid chat with Radio Times, EastEnders icon Lacey Turner spills the tea on Stacey’s state of mind. And what Ruby’s return could mean for her family and friendships. It is obviously going to be explosive! We recently saw the duo building bridges this week in the midst of the whole baby bombshell drama. The actress shed light on the same, and it looks like she still ‘doesn’t trust’ Ruby.
While discussing how Stacey feels having Ruby back in her life, Turner said, “I don’t think she’s very happy. She doesn’t trust Ruby as far as she can throw her, and the last time they saw each other, things obviously didn’t end very well, and Stacey ended up spending six months in prison because Ruby lied.” She also added that her character might not be able to get over that, but Stacey will want to do right by Martin and his kid.

The popular star also spoke about Stacey sympathising with Ruby because of her motherly instincts, but she also thinks twice before making any move and keeps Ruby at arm’s length. Turner also addressed whether Ruby and Stacey’s friendship stands a chance. She fearlessly mentioned, “At the moment, in Stacey’s world, those bridges have been burnt, but in time, maybe it could change.”
During the interview, Lacey also opened up about Stacey’s bond with Eve. She said that the pair have an amazing bond, and she loves how their friendship can get over anything. We will witness Stacey helping her mother deal with the devastating scam plot, too. It’s safe to say that Lacey’s alter-ego has a lot on her plate, and she’s facing it like a pro!
