Peter has been feeling restless for weeks. He is not receiving the love and security he always wanted from Lauren. He even flirted with another woman. He thought he would finally get some reaction from Lauren. However, her cold reaction has left him questioning their bond. Peter is doubting Lauren’s intention. He has now planned something big to fix everything.
Peter has planned a surprise wedding with Laure. He decorates the entire Vic. his family members also help him with it. However, even they do not see the urgency behind his decision. He wants to prove himself. To plan things, he sends Lauren to a spa day. However, instead of going to the spa, she goes for drinks with Penny. And that is where the cracks begin to show.
Penny knows that something is not right with Lauren. She knows that Lauren has doubts and asks her straight questions. Is Peter really what you want? Those words are hard to forget for Lauren. She was laughing with her cousin over drinks. However, deep down, Penny’s words were running in her mind.
Meanwhile, Peter is getting ready at the Vic for the big moment. He doesn’t know Lauren is unsure about him. When she and Penny enter the pub, they are stunned. The whole pub was decorated like a fairytale. Even Peter is all dressed up. His family stared as she struggled to decide what to do.
Lauren’s Shocking Decision
Peter proposes to Lauren for marriage. She reluctantly agrees and then heads home to change. Penny can see the truth all written over Lauren’s face. She tries to move forward, but can’t and runs away. She leaves Peter and all the guests behind.
However, soon she returns. Something has changed within; we are unsure if it’s guilt or the fear of everyone. She returns and says yes to Peter. Peter was finally relieved. Soon, the vows are about to happen. It feels like the couple will get a happy ending.
But that is when Max Branning shows up. Meanwhile, Peter is not happy with Max’s presence. He feels that his presence will trigger Cindy Beale’s return. Soon, his fears come true. Cindy learns that Max is back, and she wastes no time in confronting him over Steven’s death.
