With the soap opera approaching its 40th anniversary, several old characters are making their way back to Albert Square. Keeping this in mind, fans are going crazy over John Patridge’s recent social media post.
Partridge took to his Instagram and posted a picture with Laurie Brett, best known for her role as Jane Beale on EastEnders. He captioned the post, “There is no skool like the #oldskool”, adding the further hashtag #clarkesassemble, a reference to their fictitious family. Viewers know that Jane Beale was Christian’s on-screen sister.
This post caught the attention of several fans, and it seems that they’re excited about Christian’s potential return to the soap. One of them wrote, “How we love these two to return, even for a guest appearance!”
While another reminisced about Christian’s love life and wrote, “I really would need Syed and Christian to still be together.” This was one of the biggest storylines that John was a part of on the BBC programme.

Christian and Syed’s popular couple nickname was ‘Chryed’, and their love story faced a lot of struggles but had a happy ending. The duo left the show together in 2012, although John did come back for a guest stint but that was almost a decade ago.
This looks like the perfect opportunity for Christian to return as her sister Jane Beale also came back to Walford, and she could definitely use some support.
