EastEnders icon Michelle Collins has taken an exit from BBC’s soap. The actress who played Cindy Beale left the town after discovering who the real culprit behind the attack was during Christmas. EastEnders Actress Michelle Collins’ New Role
EastEnders legacy actress is all set with her new character. Michelle is soon going to make her Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut with Motorhome Marilyn. Written by Ben Weatherill and directed by Alexandra Spencer-Jones. The play is based on the idea given by Collins herself.
The storyline is about an actress named Denise. She really looks up to Marilyn Monroe. Her goal is to follow the legendary actress’s steps and become the next superstar in Hollywood. Michelle herself will be playing the role after she met the lady who is known as Motorhome Marilyn. The EastEnders star said, ‘She is excited for her Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut.’
She further added that ‘this wonderful new play is close to her, and it is funny yet dark.’ “When I encountered the show’s real-life namesake out in LA, I couldn’t have imagined that journey would lead me to this point,” Michelle said. She also thanked her writer, Ben, and late friend Stuart, who was the writer of the play earlier.
She further added that ‘she can’t wait to share this story with Edinburgh audiences this summer.’ Motorhome Marilyn will be performed at Doonstairs, Gilded Balloon Patter House. It will be playing from 30 June to 25 August 2025 at 5:30pm.

After the explosion, it was revealed that Kathy Beale attacked her own daughter-in-law during Christmas. Well, she did not reveal the attacker’s identity to her family and friends before leaving. When asked why, she said that she is fine with the culprits thinking she is letting them get away with the crime – for now! She left to spend some time with her old friend Gita Kapoor. In a recent episode her friend called Peter to inform him that her mother has gone missing.
