Jane’s long-running character, known to viewers simply as Tracey the barmaid, has been a part of EastEnders since its very first episode in 1985. The character was a real fan-favourite and has been one of the supporting characters that helped in Walford becoming what it is today! She started off on the soap as a flower stall operator on the Bridge Street Market but soon shifted to The Queen Vic in 1989.
Now, after four decades, the legendary character has made her first appearance through social media. She took to Instagram and posted a video herself and wrote, ‘Breaking the silence. My first time on Instagram, so I just wanted to thank you all for your kindness and support over the years. Viewers do not know a lot about Tracey due to limited interaction with the Walford residents. Over the years, we have found bits of information which includes her being married. In addition, Tracey has a son and grandkids. The silent character also had a one-night stand with Dennis Rickman and Phil Mitchell. Things got dramatic for her when Sam Mitchell struck a crowbar over her head, due to which she was let go from The Vic. But the residents staged a protest in her support when Woody fired her.
