Linda has finally returned from her cruise. However, she reached Walford with mixed feelings. Elsewhere, she had sold the Vic months ago and wanted to start fresh. However, when she returned, the old memories pulled her back. Meanwhile, Elaine Peacock is excited about the opening of Peacock’s Palace. She thinks everything is under control. However, the moment Linda arrives, her plans fall apart.
When Linda tried to settle in, she ran into Sam Mitchell. However, Sam has her own issues to deal with. And Linda cannot stop thinking about it afterwards. The next day, she sees Max Branning again. She froze for a moment as she had never expected him to be there. Elsewhere, their affair still carries heavy consequences. And Annie is proof of that. It’s because Max has no idea that he has another child.

Max returns on the very week the fire hits No. 25. Moreover, everyone is impacted by his arrival. He keeps a watch on Oscar as he receives from the chaos of the blaze. After he sees Oscar injured, he realises that he has drifted away from his children and wants to fix things.
Elsewhere, when he saw Zoe, he received another shock. When they last met, things turned worse as Max chose Stacey over her. Even Lauren knows that Max’s arrival could make things awful. Later, he tells Jack that something feels off around Ian Beale. He then heads straight to the Vic and makes a loud declaration in front of everyone.
