Linda Draws A Line After Their Kiss
Linda and Max have been sharing a complicated closeness ever since he returned to Walford and settled in Peacock Palace. They kissed last week after a long and emotional talk. However, the troubled mum regretted it when she discovered that he had kept quiet about Louie bullying Ollie.
Soon, the groom-to-be tried to fix things by arranging a proper apology from Louie. Even Linda accepted it and invited Max for a drink. The Carter woman, though, called it a simple plan between coparents. However, Annie’s father misunderstood the gesture and arrived at Harry’s barn with flowers and a new tie.
When he went to touch her hand, Linda pulled it back very softly. Then she also reminded him that she really only wanted to talk about Annie, nothing more. However, the Branning man didn’t stop and insisted that they could make something real. Hearing his words, Linda was pushed to speak plainly. The former landlady told him that it had taken everything inside her to kiss him.
Also, her heart has been quiet ever since her soul mate, Mick Carter, died. And now she couldn’t risk being more hurt for herself or her daughter. Believing their connection meant something, this declaration left him shaken. Despite this, Linda made it clear that the door wouldn’t open again.

The Carter woman’s firm decision leaves Max without the future he imagined. Even though he believes his feelings are strong, she refuses to take another step toward him.
