Lauren’s Job Crisis Grows As Max Makes A Mess
Lauren is rattled when she learns that the car lot might be sold. And so she fears that she’ll suddenly be unemployed. Later, Penny suggests her to take over the place herself, giving her a flicker of hope. However, she faces rejection when the bank quickly turns down her loan request. Ian then advises her to approach Max. However, she again faces disappointment.
But Cindy Beale interferes and pushes Max to change his mind. Suddenly, the Branning man agrees to buy the business for Lauren. However, Lauren’s relief fades the moment he says that he plans to run the daily operations himself. And so Lauren’s dream of independent management disappears.
Later in the week, Lauren is attacked at the lot. And the classic car she plans to sell to Mark Fowler Jr is taken. Despite all this, she tries to focus on Mother’s Day lunch with Peter, Ian and Kathy. Later at work, before the meal, a customer asks about a test drive and becomes overly forceful.
Then Max steps in and backs Lauren up. This gesture softens Lauren, and she invites him to the family lunch. Everything was going well with Peter, even organising a sweet surprise. However, soon everything collapses. Max makes some remarks that annoy everyone at the table. Later, he storms out and ruins the whole afternoon.
