Oscar is staying with his sister Lauren; he was released from a young offenders unit. Their mother, Tanya, didn’t want him back home. She couldn’t accept the kind of people he had been spending time with before things went south. She was done with him the moment trouble started following him.
Even after all that, they have managed to track him to Walford. And they are not backing off. Among the group, Mike is the most dangerous individual. Actor Pierre Moullier explains that Oscar feels completely cornered. Mike is not someone who cares about getting caught. Oscar, since arriving in Walford, had tried to act light-hearted. But deep down, fear was always building. Now, it’s beginning to show.
Lauren soon finds out that Mike has been threatening Oscar again. He even left a knife behind, just to scare him. That’s when she decides to get their uncle Jack involved. Jack is a police officer, and Lauren believes involving him could offer some kind of protection.
But Oscar refuses. He insists that if Mike finds out someone in his family is a cop, it will only push him further. And what happens next proves that.
The Mistake That Breaks Something Inside Him
Late one night, Oscar hears something from outside the room. It’s faint, but it feels wrong; his chest tightens as the sound grows closer. He becomes convinced that Mike has broken into the house. In the hallway, he sees someone in a hood. His mind tells him it’s Mike, but it’s Peter. Peter had offered him a home; he made space when no one else did. And now Oscar has attacked him.
Pierre Moullier says the guilt hits Oscar hard; he had grown to care about Peter. He respected him. After this, Jack gets involved, and Lauren gives Oscar one final warning.
