Tonight, Nigel Bates was at the centre of heartbreak again. He crashed his car and injured Jasmine Fisher and Gina Knight. And now he realised that he had committed a heinous act. He gave up and admitted his sin at the police station.
The officials interrogated him afterwards. But he couldn’t respond accurately since his memory was fading. He could not even recall anything concerning the mishap. Elsewhere, Julie tried her best to protect him and lied to him, saying she had caused the accident, not him. Yet, Nigel was able to tell that she was lying to save him. He asked Julie not to make up any reason, as he would have to bear the punishment, even if that meant being jailed.
Outside the police station, Julie lied to him again. And this time Nigel didn’t control and was furious at her. Later, even George Knight tried to be there for Nigel; however, the accident had brought a major change in him. He locked himself in, consumed by guilt, thinking only of the two girls. Then Julie also told him that earlier they had done so many things to protect each other. However, Nigel only wanted to be in the present and think of his mistake. He said, “I could’ve killed those girls. I have to pay for it.” It was something that broke the hearts of the audience. They were unable to see one of their favourite icon in such a condition.
