Nugget’s Seizure Leads To A Diagnosis
Nugget has been unable to focus since he came home from the hospital last month. He suffered a head injury when his father attacked him. Ravi believed he was fighting Nish after Nicola and Harry spiked him. In the latest episode, Nugget suffered his first seizure. It happened whenhe was taking a driving lesson with Priya.
Soon, Priya and Ravi rush him to the hospital. Doctors do several tests. And it is confirmed that he has been diagnosed with epilepsy. Later, the medical team says that it is linked to his recent trauma. The soap says that the story will show a “challenging and emotional journey as he adapts to living with the condition and its impact on his daily life.”

Clare Pelham from the Epilepsy Society said epilepsy affects about one in 100 people. But many are still afraid to talk about it. She said they were happy that EastEnders contacted them to check Nugget’s epilepsy storyline. The soap has a strong history of addressing difficult issues. Presenting seizures realistically and supporting an epileptic person can trigger conversations and lessen stigma. And thus help to ‘bring the condition out of the shadows.”
Ravi Blames Himself In EastEnders
Elsewhere, Ravi is forced to face the consequences of what happened that day. An insider says, “Ravi’s violent act, after being spiked, left Nugget in a coma with swelling on the brain. He is forced to consider that he may have caused his own son to develop a lifelong condition. And is totally devastated.”
