At the same time, Yolande thought that this would only mark the beginning of a new journey. She wanted to embark on it for herself and for them together as partners. She thought that would heal her past scars, which were connected to Pastor Clayton. Patrick’s decision to postpone the wedding deeply upset her. Her imagination of how the wedding day would pan out all melted away. Patrick was well set against the idea and had made up his decision. He refused to end the wedding. He wished that no one reached out to him.
