EastEnders has confirmed that George Knight will relaunch the vacant Walford East restaurant as “Knight Fusion” early next month. He gets financial backing from Nicola Mitchell. Popular Walford Business Gets A New Name
Walford East was once Ravi Gulati and Suki Panesar’s big project. Ravi believed that it might help himm move toward a calmer life. Ravi wanted to show Priya Nandra-Hart that things could be more stable. However, the entire plan collapsed when HMRC shut the restaurant last summer. It all began when Bernie realised that “The Six” were involved in the cover-up of her brother’s death.
And so, she targeted Suki Panesar for her leading role. Before his death, Nish Panesar had named Bernie as the business guardian and accountant for the Panesars’ interests. So Bernie had full control over their financial records. Later, through fraudulent transfers and fake invoices, Bernie stole money from the business.
She also deliberately avoided paying taxes. And so HMRC raided the Panesars’ flagship restaurant, Walfrod East. Hence, it was permanently shut down in the summer last year. And so the building is locked up and left untouched.
Now, George Knight has taken over. Even Nicole Mitchell has stepped in with financial support. Together, they prepare to reopen the place under a new name: Knight Fusion. The duo have even planned the first night and many familiar faces will be heading there.
