EastEnders’ Ross Kemp lost his father, John Kemp, recently. He referred to his father as his hero, his model. EastEnders’ Ross Kemp’s Emotional Goodbye To His Father

Taking to his Instagram, Ross shared the news about his father’s death. In one photo, John’s father was on the seashore, while in another, his youthful appearance in his military outfit was captured. Ross adored his father with deep respect, and he even mentioned his family principles.

“John Kemp 1937-2025. Served his country, served his community, served his family,” was the caption for the post. My hero. Love you always, Dad.” In another post, he wrote, “Burying my Dad tomorrow. My hero, my role model and a great dancer.” His fans felt sympathy and started commenting on his posts. Everybody could feel his love for his father.

When Ross was playing Grant Mitchell in the BBC soap, he always told everybody that his family bonds had shaped him. Ross is a talented actor; moreover, he is a great storyteller. He mentions real human struggles in his documentary. 

After people saw his post, many then shared stories about their own families. They spoke about how hard it is for anyone to lose loved ones. And Ross was somebody who always looked up to his father. When Ross spoke about his father, it was all about his duty and service. His father served the country and the community, but Ross never mentioned how he died. His father’s discipline has had a great influence on Ross’s life. Even when he shot for the soap or filmed in dangerous war zones in Afghanistan for the BBC soap, he always had that passion.

When Ross appeared on the BBC series Who Do You Think You Are?, he told everybody a story of his greatgrandafther Arhtur “Pop” Chalmers. Pop had actually survived a shipwreck during World War II. His vessel was a hundred miles from shore. Then he was saved from the waters. The incident made Ross reflect on his family’s past and his father’s sacrifices.
