Max’s Past And Conflicts With Linda And Cindy
Max Branning has made a mess of his love life repeatedly and has also hurt women at pivotal moments. The Branning guy, in fact, had an affair with the show’s legend Linda Carter when she thought that her marriage with Mick Dyer was breaking down. But soon Linda found out that Mick had been abused since she was 12 years old. This truth made her break up with Max immediately.
Also, over the years, despite losing Mick and going through grief, the Carter woman refused to rekindle anything with Max. She also recently learnt that his grandson was bullying her son, Ollie, which Max kept from her. And when the desperate lover expressed his feelings to Linda, she firmly rejected his hopes. She explained that there was no romantic future possible with him.
Recently, we saw even Cindy Beale clashing with the troublemaker. She took Jasmine Fisher’s phone from Max’s room to prevent him from using it to free Jasmine. Also, we know that Cindy has resented Max for his role in her son Steven’s death. This makes their prior involvement tense.
Even though the two tried to keep their past away, the lothario’s behaviour reminded her of the reasons she couldn’t trust him. So, even this ends any chance for a romantic relationship. Despite previous chemistry, Max’s actions during the episode confirmed that Cindy couldn’t become his bride.
Other Bride Possibilities And New Arrivals In EastEnders
Apart from Linda Carter and Cindy Beale, even Denise Fox and Chelsea Fox are potential brides. Anyway, nothing much has been confirmed so far. We also witnessed in the flash-forward that Max is with a pregnant woman in bed. But, she is not the bride.
Elsewhere, it was also revealed that Libby Fox is coming back on New Years Day, and this might be connected with a family event or the wedding. Nonetheless, she might just be there to cause some trouble. Another character whose name has been mentioned quite a bit is Stacey Slater.
