Shona’s Truth She Is Carrying Into The Jungle

Shona recently opened up about her mental health honestly. It’s​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ her first time revealing something like this to anyone. According to her, anxiety and depression were her companions for several years. In fact, she mentioned that due to these disorders, she was not able to do the things that she had always wanted to ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌do.

She joined the industry when she was young. Yet she was only putting up a facade of being okay while she was actually not during that ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌time. For her, therapy was helpful, and even meditation was. However, even today, she sometimes gets panicked. She’s afraid the past might catch up with her, but she knows the campers would help if she shouted. The BBC created a space for young actors to express their feelings.

EastEnders: Shona’s Fight In The Jungle

In Brisbane, when reporters and cameras reached out to Shona, she laughed. She avoided the spotlight despite her anxiety. But people saw her as cheerful. However, it was because she acted for so long. But no one ever knew what she went through privately. 

Theatre and music were her solace after she departed from Albert Square in May. She likes the switch. She likes the power over her schedule. Still,​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ she is the centre of the jungle, and she wants to bring up the issue of mental health. According to her, a majority of the youths nowadays are always discussing their anxiety and depression, and she totally concurs with that. Additionally, she says that she wouldn’t wish to be a teenager today as the pressure seems to be much ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌more.

Her family experienced a wave of excitement as she shared her plans. They are aware that this step is larger for her than for anyone else. They have seen her fight, and they understand her reason for taking this challenge.
