Josh And Sandra Enter Walford
The soap is introducing two key characters as Zoe Slater’s complicated family story moves forward. Holby City actor Dawn Steele has joined the cast as Sandra Goodwin. She is a woman connected to Jasmine Fisher’s past life. At the same time, viewers will also get to meet Josh Goodwin. He is Zoe’s long-lost son, with Joshua Vaughan reprising the role.
The character was first hinted at earlier when Jasmine’s mysterious twin brother appeared as a voice. It happened when Cindy Beale answered Jasmine’s phone while she tried to destroy it. Now Josh is making his way to Albert Square. Even Sandra is arriving in Walford looking for answers about Jasmine.
The murdere is currently facing charges after she killed her father, Anthony Trueman. After Sandra arrives, more details about Jasmine’s past will be revealed. Also, she will also present her own version of events.
However, there’s another twist unfolding behind the scenes. Josh secretly follows Sandra to Walford to find her. However, neither character understands how close Josh is to the biological family that has been searching for him.
Cast Teases Drama As Slater And Trueman Storylines Collide In EastEnders
Dawn Steels says, “I was really happy when I was asked to play Sandra because she arrives in Walford and quickly disrupts things. The character definitely causes a bit of chaos.” Also, returning to the Elstree studios has been familiar for the actor after she worked on Holby City for years.
“What really interested me was Sandra’s involvement in the story around Jasmine. As the trial approaches, viewers will start discovering another part of the puzzle, adds Dawn.” Even Joshua Vaughan spoke about joining the long-running soap and becoming part of the family drama.
Joshua said, “Being welcomed into EastEnders has been an amazing experience. Finding myself involved in the history of the Trueman and Slater families has been incredibly exciting.” The actor further added, “Sharing scenes with actors who have been part of the show for years feels like a masterclass. I’ve learned so much just by watching them work.”
