The entire story starts when Eve Unwin faces a violent, homophobic attack. Callum comes to save her. It is when he sees his father, Jonno. Callum is shocked to see his father, the one responsible, standing right in front of him after so long. But he is here on duty. So he arrests him.
However, Jonno denies he has done anything. He immediately blamed his friend standing nearby. However, Eve refuses to listen. She knows Jonno is behind the attack and wants him to be punished for it. One can say how serious the attack was as Eve stands firm with her decision.
Callum has already faced several hardships caused by his father. Callum faced the man who caused him so much pain, but the situation was far from over. Suki Panesar arrived, and she supported Eve. The two had a major breakup. But the love is still there, and Suki’s actions prove it. Suki and Eve team up to hold Jonno accountable.
Callum is heartbroken. It was the past with his father that was hurting him more than the attack. He remembers how Jonno used to mistreat him and reject him after Callum revealed that he was gay. Johnny Carter’s Gamble Backfires And Leaves Callum in Turmoil
Elaine had warned Johnny to stay away from Jonno and Callum. However, he ignores her warning and reaches to help Jonno. He approaches Jonno, saying that he is offering legal advice. When Jonno realises that Johnny is a Carter, he agrees to have a drink at the Vic. Johnny informs Callum that Jonno wants to meet him. Callum feels his father finally wants to sort things out.
They then meet at the flat. Callum wants to believe that his father has changed and wants to mend their relationship. Callum always believed in second chances, so he was ready to forgive him. However, Jonno does something Calum didn’t expect. He asks Callum for some money. That moment made Callum see his father would never change. Jonno only cared about himself, not his son.
Callum refuses to give him any financial help. Jonno gets angry, and his old behaviour is back, which is visible to Callum. The hurt son asks his father to walk out. He collapsed and had a heart attack before leaving. Callum and Johnny are in disbelief. And Jonno’s sons’ anger has vanished, and now he feels guilty.
No matter how much things get worse, the truth is that Jonno is his father, and that won’t ever change. But even Johnny is shaken. He wanted to sort things out between them, but made it worse.
