As we know, Patrick hasnt been able to deal with the loss of his son to date. So, this move will bring those painful memories back, which he tried to avoid. Later, the three of them sat down, trying to find a path. They then spoke about recording the statement in advance. This way, Patrick will be able to say everything without going through the whole thing again.
Later they also suggested a breakaway from the pressure. And Trinidad came up in the discussion. It’s a quiet place where he could reset before facing anything else. However, Patrick refused the idea initially. The grieving father was confused about stepping away. But soon, the family stated that this trip would not disconnect him from the truth. That’s when Patrick remembered Isaac as well. When he realised he could spend time with his son he finally said yes.
Is Patrick Leaving EastEnders Forever?
The BBC soap has confirmed that this is not a permanent exit. Patrick will be away for just a week. Also, even the flashforward from New Year’s Day feels important now. In that moment, Patrick spoke to Oscar Branning. And he told him that he was a part of the family.
