EastEnders spoilers reveal an emotional new story for Nicola Mitchell as she gives birth prematurely. The owner of Harry’s Barn faces a medical emergency resulting in the early arrival of her baby girl. Nicola’s Baby Arrives Too Soon
Last year, Nicola confirmed her pregnancy with George. Now, in the upcoming track, we will see her going through a premature delivery. Nicola delivers a baby early as she has health complications. Hence, the doctors were forced to rush her into emergency surgery. Through a caesarean, Nicola and George welcome their daughter into the world. However, it is sooner than they planned.
Together, both Nicola and George will have to focus on raising a premature baby. It will start from the neonatal until and moving into the earlyy days at home. Also, the makers have worked with the UK charity Bliss which supports premature and sick babies. The makers wanted the track to be sensitive and accurate.
Ben Wadey said, “This storyline follows Nicola and George as they navigate the challenges and shared concerns of neonatal care with their premature baby, and the impact it has on them and their families.”
Annelies Hopkins from Bliss added her view sharing, “As the UK’s leading charity representing babies born premature or sick, and their families, we were grateful to be consulted on this important EastEnders storyline, which shines a light on the unexpected, distressing and often traumatic experience of having a baby in neonatal care.”
George And Nicola Deal With Their Past In EastEnders
Nicola and George’s connection grew last year. It happened when they were both out of their broken marriages. Teddy walked away for good from Nicola after he learnt that Barney wasn’t his biological son. Even George moved out of his relationship with Elaine Peacock.
After this, Nicola and George got closer after Nicola offered him a job. Soon, they found comfort and it was the beginning of a budding romance. Soon, their relationship ended. However, when Nicola learnt about the pregnancy, she and George decided to co-parent them in a new space.
