EastEnders spoilers suggest that Nigel Bates’ condition will get worse. In the recent episode, it was revealed that he was very confused about the pharmacy that was once a video shop. Jean noticed him and became worried for him.
She brought him back to his home and questioned Phil about his condition. He tried covering for him, but she did not seem convinced. He told her he had been going through some stuff and thanked her for bringing him home safely.
In the upcoming episode, Yolande will request him to dress up as the Easter Bunny. He will take up the role happily, as he would want to escape Phil’s overprotectiveness. Everything will be going smoothly until he ends up in a feud with Harvey.
He will confuse Hope with his stepdaughter Clare. After the matter resolves, Harvey, Ian and Jean will again question Phil about Nigel and what has happened to him. Unwillingly he will reveal his dementia diagnosis.
Phil’s Devastated As Nigel Takes A Big Step
Further, when he returns home, he will find Nigel trying to take his own life. Without hearing a word from him, he will leave. He will then go and see Linda and tell her what he just witnessed.
She will comfort him and tell him to be more supportive towards his main man. But when he reaches home, he will be devastated to find a goodbye letter from Nigel. Worried Phil will try to go on a hunt for his friends. Soon after which he finds Nigel and takes him back to No. 55.
Then he will have a breakdown and will reveal that he did it because he did not want dementia to take over him. He explained that he feels like he is losing it all. As Phil will fail to calm him down, Yolande will offer a brilliant plan of Phil becoming his pal’s full-time carer. At first he will refuse it, but later he convinces him.
