Nigel has been going through an emotional turmoil lately. He is heartbroken and missing his estranged stepdaughter, Clare Bates. Furthermore, his dementia is getting worse, making him feel overwhelmed. However, in the upcoming episodes, Nigel tells Phil Mitchell that he is furious and upset that they didn’t celebrate his birthday. He had hoped that he would feel joyful on his birthday, but felt lonely on his big day.
However, Phil Mitchell is baffled as Nigel had earlier said he didn’t want to make a fuss on his birthday. Then Phil goes to Alfie Moon, Yolande Trueman and Honey for advice. After talking to them, he asks what is bothering Nigel that made him feel like this. Phil comes up with an idea to celebrate his birthday, even if it is belated. Nigel says that he wants to go on a cinema trip.
A Tragic Car Crash Will Change Everything!
When Honey, Billy and Nigel are about to head to the cinema, they are suddenly stopped by Teddy. He has found out the truth about Nicola and Barney. Besides that, he also discovered that Harry is behind Zack Hudson’s kidnapping. So, he urgently asks for a lift so that he can talk to Harry before things get any worse. But things take a wrong turn as in the further episodes, the car swerves off the road and begins to sink into the lake.
Meanwhile, actor Paul Bradley returned to the soap as Nigel at Christmas and reunited with Phil when both were going through tough moments in their life. The soap’s producer, Chris Clenshaw, hinted that the actor was back for a long plot, so the upcoming storyline won’t result in a tragic end for Nigel.
