Along with this, Sharon’s new relationship with his cousin Teddy has been disturbing him as well.
His struggle with loneliness will result in him experiencing psychosis and hallucinations, which will then lead to a devastating suicide attempt. It was earlier reported that Phil’s mood will deteriorate over the festive period and things will get worse for him. The BBC soap has now confirmed that Phil’s mental health will continue to decline in the coming week as he tries to hide his struggles even from his loved ones.
The strong-headed man will reach his saturation point and start believing that life is no longer worth living and will try to take his own life. While speaking about the storyline, executive producer Chris Clenshaw said, “Phil’s depression storyline will focus on his decline in mental health. And the subsequent psychotic symptoms, and the reactions of those around him, as we hope to demonstrate how mental health can affect anyone at any time.”
