Viewers know that the council has wanted to redevelop the area around the market since last year, which has threatened the livelihoods of many residents. And now, in a desperate attempt to impress her former flame, Martin, and to rekindle her romance, Ruby will make some sneaky moves.
We recently saw Ruby meeting Councillor Barker, who suggested that an ‘intimate meeting’ could help change his mind. This obviously left Ruby disgusted, and she is using this to her advantage. She set up a fake profile online, reached out to Barker, and met the shady councilor in the cafe. After learning that Ruby was behind the account, she threatened to expose him for the explicit pictures he sent her.
We all love some ‘old-fashioned blackmail,’ and Ruby is ticking all the boxes. While Barker will insist that he hasn’t broken the law, Ruby will leave the councillor alone to make a decision. Later, she met with Martin and told him that she might have saved the market and filled him in about the details of her plan. However, Martin wasn’t impressed with her plan and expressed disappointment.
