EastEnders revealed a major twist as Zoe Slater’s son Josh was finally introduced. Jasmine, currently in jail over Anthony Trueman’s death, receives a call from her brother, surprising everyone. Max had hidden the video evidence of Anthony’s death, which Cindy took. Will Zoe discover that her son is alive and in contact with her daughter?
Jasmine’s Phone Goes Missing
Jasmine Fisher is still in jail, charged with killing her father, Anthony. However, she says it was self-defence. Elsewhere, Zoe has recently been released from prison. And the mum is determined to find the phone that proves what happened on Christmas Day. The device had gone missing. And it was Max who had taken it.
The Branning man watched the video and struggled with whether to return it. Soon, he speaks to his son Oscar about feeling guilty. Max admits he was too quick in judging his son’s jailed girlfriend. Meanwhile, Zoe is searching for the missing phone and ends up arguing with Kim at the cafe and Cindy at The Albert. Soon, Max arrived and defended Zoe, because he felt guilty about taking the phone.
However, Cindy Beale overheard their conversation and realised he had the phone. And the opportunist went on to confront him and demanded to destroy the phone. Despite admitting he took it, Max refused to destroy it. He wanted to protect Zoe and Oscar’s feelings.
Later, Jack Branning called Max and informed him that Oscar was trying to burn the newspaper with news of his girlfriend’s arrest. Using this opportunity, Cindy took the phone from his room. When she got ready to destroy it, the phone rang.
Josh Calls Jasmine and Reveals He is Alive In EastEnders
Cindy answered the phone, and the voice said, “Jasmine, it’s me. Your brother, Josh.” Zoe’s long-lost son was previously thought to be dead. However, now it’s confirmed that he’s alive. Elsewhere, Joshua Vaughan will play the character of Josh. Also, he will become involved in a love triangle with Jasmine’s boyfriend, Oscar Branning.
However, Zoe doesn’t yet know that her son has contacted Jasmine. She believed one of her twins had died and hired a private investigator to find them. The jailed daughter had discovered her mum’s location after seeing news reports of her return to Albert Square.
