EastEnders actress Anita, who left the longest-running soap almost four decades ago, will now star in a terrifying new role on Channel 4’s Generation Z. She looks totally unrecognisable in her terrifying new role, and we are all here for it. Anita became a household name after playing Angie Watts for three years during the 1980s. She was known for her big hair and even bigger personality; she was the alcoholic friend of Walford residents.
And now, the tables have turned, and how—her new gig as a zombie killer has left many fans stunned. The soap icon will not star in a six-part miniseries premiering on Sunday, October 27, 2024, on Channel 4. According to reports, the series takes a swipe at the current state of post-Brexit Britain. The programme follows a group of young people as they attempt to survive a zombie apocalypse caused by an army convoy carrying a toxic substance.
