EastEnders Legend Ben Hardy Lands A New Role!
Former EastEnders legend Ben Hardy, who played Peter Beale on the soap, has landed his next movie role in a new thriller. The upcoming project is titled as Die by Night. It’s an upcoming dystopian survival thriller which stars Hardy along with Orphan star Isabelle Fuhrman. It also features A Complete Unknown actor Scoot McNairy. According to reports, it’s written and directed by Night Swim’s Rod Blackhurst.
The synopsis of the film revealed that it is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Fans will get to see a host of creatures named The Horde. Die by Night follows Fuhrman’s Lucia as she sets out to find safety at The Wall with the help of Hardy’s injured yet determined Barry, who says he can get them there.
While discussing the movie, director Blackhurst said, “This film was born from the fears and anxieties that came with becoming a father for the first time. The overwhelming desire to somehow protect my daughter from the dark forces that exist in the world. From the dangerous ideologies that fuel the self-righteous, and of the impossible choices we must make in the face of chaos.”
A few months ago, Hardy revealed the reason behind his decision to leave the show. During an interview with The Independent, he said, “I had been battling it for a year, how to make things work. I have so much respect for everyone who works on that show. [But] I felt myself getting lazy as an actor.
