A Crash Changes Everything For Nigel
Nigel wanted to have a new beginning in his life. He planned a surprise trip to India for Julie, but had no money for it. So he decided to sell his car to get some wealth. However, he still had doubts as it was his beloved car. But then he thought of Julie’s happiness and went ahead with his decision to sell it.
However, before he could finalise the deal, he damaged the car a little. Then Lauren intervened, and because of the damage caused, she had to adjust the price. Nigel took the deal for the money and wanted one last ride after the sale.
But before he went out, he and Julie fought for something. So Nigel had a bad mood when he left home. He also took the car keys without informing Julie. However, later, he got a call from her. Nigel thought Julie had learnt about the missing keys. That’s why she called. He got distracted and lost control of the car. The vehicle then crashed.
After the incident, Nigel was stunned and then forgot everything because of his dementia. He then asked about the details of the accident. He asked for answers from Julie. However, Julie took the whole blame for the accident. She informed him that she was behind the wheel. Elsewhere, Nigel feels that Julie has been lying to him. He found her answers very inconceivable.
Nigel Surrenders To The Police In EastEnders
Even though he was unsure, he made a clear choice, believing Julie was not honest. So he decided to take the responsibility himself. He then went straight away to Jack and told him everything that had happened. Jack stood by him, and he later took Nigel to the police station. And for viewers, this felt like the beginning of the end of his storyline on the soap.
Later, an officer asks him exactly what happened. Nigel gives them the explanation. However, will the police believe him? Nigel was unsure if he could still go to India. He might even go to prison. He didn’t know if anyone would ever find out what truly happened in the crash.
Every choice he made now could change his future. It could also affect the people he cared about. As he waited to see what happened after telling the truth, things in Walford got worse.
