Danny Dyer left the BBC soap almost three years ago, yet fans still miss him and want him to return. His final scenes were with Janine and Linda Carter. He was chasing Janine in a car when it ended with them diving into the freezing sea.
Fans never got a proper farewell, leaving hope for his return. He later mentioned on The Late Late Show that he wasn’t invited back for the 40th anniversary. He added, “I would have gone back if they’d have asked me, but they didn’t ask me,” he said. “I think they’ve got the hump with me now. I don’t know why.”
After Mick’s words, fans still hope that they could see him back in The Square. Even during another chat, he said that the soap maybe “missed the boat.” However, it was still uncertain if he would return. But even teased fans by saying, “Maybe I will go back,” and this one line was enough, and he was all over social media.
