Davood Ghadami, beloved for his role as Kush Kazemi on EastEnders, has spilled the tea on his real-life love story. The talented actor had candidly shared his journey from a shocking separation to finding a new romance with singer Melanie Barker. Following tabloid attention, Davood decided to clarify details about his personal life. So, let’s dive into the details!
EastEnders Icon Talks About His Separation!
EastEnders legend Davood Ghadami recently opened up about his recent divorce and his new relationship and admitted that he needs to ‘clarify a few things.’ The star portrayed the role of Kush Kazemi from 2014 to 2021 and took to Instagram to post a statement in response to publication reports about his relationship. It looks like a tabloid ran a front story about him and said some objectionable things.
Ghadami mentioned that he and his wife, Isobel, decided to go on different paths in 2023. And his relationship with Melanie began the following year, who he met while appearing in the pantomime Aladdin in Christmas 2022. “In 2024, my relationship with Mel began and we remain together and happy. There is life after separation and divorce. Unfortunately for the newspaper, there isn’t really a story here at all,” he wrote.
This comes after a report in The Sun came up about Davood’s new relationship and the talk about “sizzling on-stage chemistry” while playing Abanazar and Princess Jasmine, respectively, in Aladdin. The duo previously appeared on The X Factor in 2014 and used to share pictures and videos of each other on social media. But it seems like the star wants to just provide clarity from his end about his current relationship.
Davood has also starred in Holby City and Strictly Come Dancing. He recently went on Lacey Turner’s podcast, We Started Here, and talked about his role as Kush on the BBC programme. For more such updates on EastEnders celebs, keep following Soap Opera Daily!
