EastEnders Gillian Reveals 69-Year-Old Beauty Secrets
Since EastEnders’ 1985 debut, Gillian, who turns 70 in August, has had a mixed run on the series. Even though Kathy lost her job back in 2006, the cultural powerhouse of an iconic soap opera star made a brilliant return for the show’s 30th anniversary in 2015, revealing that her character had faked her death.
Gillian says in an interview that she does not feel pressure to look presentable or attractive for anyone else’s benefit.
Rather, she does what she can to maintain her health so that she is content inside. Although she can see herself growing older, she does not try to resist it. She would like to appear as well as she can for as long as possible. There were tears everywhere when we reunited for Kathy’s homecoming.
Kathy and Ian’s Bond Runs Deeper Than Walford
She made some startling disclosures about her close off-camera relationship with Adam Woodyatt, who has played her son in movies for 40 years. Their relationship is apparent both on and off set, and their chemistry is noticeable on screen.
“There were tears everywhere when we got back together for Kathy’s comeback,” she revealed. “It truly felt beautiful.”
