Viewers were left stunned when Harriet Thorpe appeared out of nowhere in a 2021 rerun of Midsomer Murders on ITV. Everyone is used to seeing her as Elaine Peacock of Walford, so when she cropped up in another drama, everyone was chattering.

The surprise only grew when they realised she had been in Midsomer Murders not once, but twice.

One of the fans posted a still of Thorpe in a floral kaftan and statement necklace, playfully making fun of her iconic wardrobe. Another chimed in with a cheeky comment about her character’s “reliable costume department”.
