Jaden Ladega, famed for his role as Denzel Danes in EastEnders, has shared a heartbreaking update on social media about the loss of his beloved family member. EastEnders star Jaden Ladega took to Instagram on October 20 to share news about the tragic death of his aunt Marie. In an emotional post, the soap star, who stepped into the spotlight in 2022 as Denzel, penned, “This is hard to put into words. My great Aunty Marie was a true fighter and great woman. She will be missed deeply by me and all my family. She always pushed me to do well and supported me. Rest in Peace, Aunty Marie.”
Following this update, Ladega found comfort in his co-star’s comments, with his on-screen stepmom Tameka Empson writing, “Sorry for your loss, Jaden. May your Aunt Rest in Peace. She will always be remembered by you and your family and you continue to make her proud. She saw you grow up into a fine young man. Love to you and your family.”

As for Jaden’s stint on the BBC soap, the soap teen was involved in a major storyline where his character Denzel was arrested and accused of supplying drugs to Nugget. Viewers saw Nugget being hospitalised after taking drugs. As for Denzel, he became addicted to anabolic steroids after becoming obsessed with exercise after being bullied by Logan. But, things took a dark turn when his best friend was left hospitalised because of the same.
The actor took a much-needed break in July to bask in the Turkish sunshine and posted several pictures from his vacation.
