EastEnders viewers were left in stitches after Jamie Borthwick made a shocking appearance at a recent sports event. The actor who portrays Jay Brown was at the PDC Paddy Power World Dart Championships with a cheeky sign in his hand. The sign read, ‘I know who hit Cindy,’ alongside a smiley face. Viewers know that Cindy Beale suffered a major blow to her head on Christmas Day after her secret affair was exposed in front of everyone.
Towards the end of the episode, the Beale matriarch was hit over the head with a shovel by an unknown person who left her for dead. Even though the suspect is long, we cannot help but wonder who this person could be. It’s safe to say no one has more enemies in Walford than Cindy. So it could literally be anyone. However, the real attacker will be revealed on the soap’s 40th anniversary week in February.

Cindy Beale’s Storyline Take A Shocking Turn
While discussing the iconic storyline, soap boss Chris Clenshaw said, ‘Our 40th anniversary storylines have been in the works for some time. But even at the very start of planning. We knew that we wanted to reveal the identity of Cindy’s attacker as part of this.” And Jamie’s hilarious stunt has just made us all the more intrigued. One of the fans reacted to his sign and wrote, ‘Only in the darts!’
As per reports, this is not the first time Jamie has pulled off something like this. The popular actor was previously once spotted holding a ‘RIP Lola’ sign after the character’s tragic death from a brain tumour in 2023. It was one of the most heartbreaking storylines of the soap.
