As for Jessica’s stint on EastEnders, she was involved in a domestic abuse storyline with her on-screen husband, Gray Atkins. In a tragic turn of events, her abusive partner killed Chantelle in distressing scenes. This devastating moment was nominated for a must-see moment at the Baftas, which both actors attended in London. Her storyline on the show still stand as inspiration to many women who have suffered through domestic abusers.
